A number of crops can grow back from their own seeds. For each 100 seeds planted, a single plant of that crop will grow. The first time it is harvested, it will grow back. After that, the percentage chance to grow back is reduced by 90%, and when it is harvested again, it will grow back again at the reduced rate. The same effect can be obtained by deleting the crop (reducing the chance to grow back by 90%, and to grow back again by 50%), but this is a heavier and more tedious process. The following is a list of fully grown crops that can grow back from their own seeds (copied from Minecraftpedia):
What are the keys?
In most games, keys are used to open doors, chests, etc. in the game, but in Starbound, keys are used to open doors to other worlds, too. Many worlds will be inaccessible to the player unless the player has the right key to unlock them. Some worlds will be un-accessible unless the player has the right number of keys. There are keys to move the player around in the world, as well.
What are the other keys?
There are a variety of other keys in the game that players may find. Some keys will only open locked doors, while others will open locked doors as well as unlock the doors in the space station, which is the main hub of the game. Players may find a key to the space station at the end of the tutorial area or through the story. In order to continue the game after the tutorial, the player must have that key to get to the space station.
Some applications, such as Java, require that the application directories and libraries are updated to a newer version before the user can update. However, there are some applications that are not explicitly API-specific, such as the X Window System, the X server source code, are automatically updated as required.
