It just takes a bit of patience and understanding to get the job done; you only need to do some basic calibrations and changes to see a significant improvement in the overall composition and style of your flight simulator. Everything that you download from the World of AI website gives you incredible levels of realism and quality, making it easier than ever before to get yourself into the frame of mind needed to fly an aircraft.
This will then more or less deal with everything and leave you with an easy to use AI traffic mod that is very simple to adjust and use to your own needs whenever you are ready to take things to the next stage with flight simulation.
Using traffic 360 in-game depends on how you want to do it; there are many in-game customization features that you can use to balance out the overall performance. If you find frame rates dipping and the overall quality of the performance coming down you need to make an active change.
The featured Traffic Control Centre (TCC) allows you to customise and broaden your AI Traffic with minimal fuss. You can use the improved Traffic Editor to create new traffic, whether using real-world, scheduled connections or just have it randomly generated. It also allows you to set up one-way flights and assemble flights by region. Spotty, the plane spotting feature, and the unique Control Tower view, let you get the most out of all of the details in this pack, by allowing you to watch aircraft as they operate and listen to their ATC communications.
I tried World of AI free downloaded packages first and had alot of issues with performance on my laptop. At first not to sure I wanted to spend the money on Traffic360. But damn I'm glad I did. Its loaded with traffic, atc, etc. Lots of things going on all at once which gives the feel of the real deal. I honestly haven't enjoyed my flight sim this much since getting into it 10 yrs ago. It's fun, exciting and busy. Keeps you on your toes. I highly recommend you spent the small amount to purchase Traffic260 because its definately worth the small cost. It ups your involvement in the game 10-fold. Traffic360 is great!
This is a fantastic update for owners of the original traffic/ traffic X. It gives you the oomph to your A.I. features! If like myself you also have FSX/FSX Acceleration you will notice the improvements too your airports! A more realistic kick! Along awaited package that every flight-simmer needs! Fantastic!
Flight Simulator X marks the tenth version of the popular line of flight simulators. It was officially released to the US market on October 17, 2006. According to Microsoft's Web site for the game, a standard edition features everything from navaids to GPS and airways. It also includes 18 planes, 28 detailed cities, and over 24,000 airports with a deluxe version featuring 24 aircraft, and 38 cities. The player can fly anything from a small glider or a light experimental aircraft to jumbo jets. The game features an immersive air traffic control system and dynamic real-world condition weather. The geography matches the part of the world that the player is flying in. Jetways and ground equipment are also included in the game.
The "Traffic Density" slider allow you to adjust the amount of aircraft and schedules you want to run in Traffic Global, obviously you will push the slider for the full density, but I found it produced almost no traffic (a bug?) so the best position was to set the slider just slightly below, the slider could also be a bit temperamental in giving you your full density or not?
KRSW is quite busy at this time of the day (09:30am)... it required a juggle of the "Traffic Density" slider to suddenly make more and the normal traffic appear, but if I set it at the totally maximum setting then they would disappear again, so I found the slider position just slightly below the maximum setting as the more consistent position. I will note that a restart of X-Plane and the issue never happened again, so I will put it down to a first time install start up glitch.
It really comes down to that if you want instant and accessible traffic with almost no framerate lag and with the total ease of use the Traffic Global is excellent, but if you want realistic procedures and realistic airport operations plus the option to adjust your preferences then most likely WorldTraffic 3 would be your better option. Personally of the two currently WorldTraffic 3 would still be my preferred option for the procedure realism and operations, but if JustFlight could make the software procedures realistic and add in more realism to the aircraft's effects then the vote would very easily change as the newer more accessible operation and high efficiency of Traffic Global is very, very good.... for the hard core it still would be WorldTraffic 3, but for newcomers and for the users that want simplicity then currently then JustFlight's Traffic Global is a better choice.
I wasn't completely happy with the "lazy " comment, so that has been changed. But I disagree with you on your other comments. This "Traffic" application is priced at US$50+ and at that price then realistic approach, landing and departure profiles are a necessity, the so called "immersion" factor does just not cut with me as that makes the application a sort of plaything and not a realistic traffic environment. My biggest confusion is that in most areas the application is simply outstanding, but one of the most important and actually the most simplest procedure factors has been overlooked or very poorly implemented. As I noted in the summary "to create a realistic traffic application for any simulator is is a very complex undertaking" so I know how hard it is in creating something of this scale, but again these flight profiles are actually quite simple to implement and should be the heart of a US$50+ product and not just be an after thought. FSHud is a true manager of air traffic - not just a voice of an Air Traffic Controller. Manage your flight plan and communications with ATC through an advanced, yet easy to use, simulator-integrated panel. It's all done in accordance with aviation standards and regulations, with clearances and instructions given at the correct time.
FSHud is in complete control of all the air traffic within the simulator, whether it is on the ground or in the air. The system plans and manages the flow of air traffic and handles all of the communication between the aircraft and the applicable controller. This sets the stage for a simulated lifelike flight experience, where ATC knows what each aircraft is doing (including your own) and acts accordingly - just as a controller should!
Air traffic is monitored during your flights through the various ATC sectors. Our system is based on an aircraft's scheduled departure and arrival times, as well as the current situation enroute. FSHud will forecast any potential conflicts that might arise and adjusts flight parameters for the applicable air traffic.
I'm a causual "hardcore" gamer. I am big into flight sim and racing sims. I have been using a combination of an old Microsoft Sidewinder FF2 and a Saitek X52 throttle. The X52 stick blows and I never liked it. I recently started ED Horizions and found my setup lacking. After looking at some reviews...wow. The accuracy of the stick is amazing. I was leaning towords the Warthog but don't have the room for pedals. A buddy has a full on flight sim cockpit and from a quick eva, this stick is as accurate. build quality is good and weight is nice and bottom heavy. Nothing bad so far, just the usual getting used to a new stick. Sliding throttle took a bit of getting used to after years with the X52 but a cpl hrs and its like second nature now. Love it. 2b1af7f3a8
