Star Trek: Starship Creator Warp II is an American computer-based vehicle simulation game released by Simon & Schuster Interactive in 2000, as a sequel to Star Trek: Starship Creator (1998). The game is backwards compatible with its predecessor, and allows for ships to be imported into the multi-player mode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Dominion Wars (2001). The game allows the user to create their own starships, crew them with personnel from the Star Trek universe, and send them on missions.
Star Trek: Starship Creator Warp II was a follow up to Star Trek: Starship Creator, released in 1998. It enabled the player to build starships from the Star Trek universe, both from the era of Star Trek: The Original Series and later in the franchise. This involves fitting out the chosen type of starship with technology, including warp drives and weaponry, before selecting the ship's crew. The game also allowed for the player to import their own photos and create new crew members. Once created, the player can send up to two ships simultaneously on missions.[1]
If Star Trek: Starship Creator Warp II often crashes to the desktop, try to reduce quality of the graphics. It is possible that your PC just does not have enough performance and the game may not work correctly. Also, it is worth to check out for updates - most of today's games have the automatic patches installation system on startup if internet connection is available. Check to see whether this option is turned off in the settings and switch it on if necessary.
For a full-priced game, Dominion Wars feels a bit hollow. The lack of skirmish mode is a notable problem, although the game does come with a copy of Star Trek: Starship Creator Warp II, which can be used to design new Defiant-, Galaxy-, Akira-, and B'rel-class starships for use in multiplayer. However, these are the only classes that can be imported, and once again they are useless if you're not planning any multiplayer games. Furthermore, the technical issues with the game extend to importing starships, and even with the patch, this tends to cause problems. You can also use Starship Creator Warp II to script your own custom missions. Even so, when it's working properly, Dominion Wars still just ends up feeling like a really slick series companion rather than like a full-blown strategy game.
Let's start with the info. In addition to all the cool features we mentioned last time (building your own starships, picking your crew from the casts of Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation or making your own and putting your results to the test in one of ten different scenarios), the team also announced a couple of things that were previously being kept secret. First off, in the creation process of the game, you'll be able to mix and match parts from six different classes of starships from the Star Trek universe including the Klingon B'rei class fighter, the Enterprise-D Constitution, and the Defiant, Galaxy, Sovereign, Akira and Intrepid class ships. Once completed, you will be able to name your ship, give them a registry number and then print out the results or trade them online. Second, each of these basic floorplans can be filled with loads of high-tech gear from the series. According to the release, your choices will include, "everything from the strength of the phasers, the make of the warp drive, the power of the deflector shields, the number of transporters and the type and capacity of sensors." Certain domestic statistics, like the number of holodecks on board your ship or the luxuriousness of your crew's quarters will affect the way your crew performs when they are on the job. Last, but not least, you'll be able to export your craft into the upcoming Star Trek Deep Space Nine: Dominion Wars game.
In charge of evaluating the operational performance of the M5 computer while it's in total control of a starship, Commodore Wesley sits in temporary command of the U.S.S. Lexington to lead a battle fleet in war games against the Enterprise. Throughout the episode Commodore Wesley continues to wear his Starbase Duty Insignia, while the Lexington crew would have been wearing the delta.
Unlike Commodore Bob Wesley, who was only in temporary command of the Lexington, Matt Decker is a Flag Officer with permanent field command of a starship. In fact, he's the only Flag Officer we see in Star Trek with a field command. As a consequence of Commodore Decker's rank and status as Commander of the U.S.S. Constellation (his flagship), he wears the Fleet Command Insignia denoting his status as a Flag Officer in the field. If we had seen Commodore Decker's crew (may they rest in peace), we would have seen the delta shape insignia in use on their uniforms. Commodore Decker's own first officer would have held the rank of Captain and worn the Starship Duty Insignia.
The game begins with a standard mission, the Galaxy-class starship USS Dauntless (NCC-71879) is in orbit of a planet in the Vesuvi system. Captain Wright is onboard a shuttle en route to an orbital research station when the Vesuvi star suddenly goes nova. The resulting shockwave is devastating, destroying the planet's orbital stations and obliterating the Captain's shuttlecraft. The USS Dauntless escapes under impulse power, but sustains damage to her warp nacelles. The ship is towed back to a Federation drydock by an Akira class, and fully repaired by worker bees. The executive officer(the player) is promoted to Captain. Soon the player is joined by Captain Jean-Luc Picard. The ship departs drydock for Starbase 12, the command center for operations in the Maelstrom region. As the game progresses, you and your crew are transferred to the USS Sovereign, the pathfinder of the Sovereign class. The vessel will eventually become a key factor in solving the mystery in the Maelstrom
Legacy is a starship based game where players command a set number of ships through the different eras. Spanning forty years of Star Trek history, including 221 years within the Star Trek continuity, you control most of the main starships of all the Trek television shows and movies. These include:
Years later, in 2368, Lieutenant Commander Benjamin Sisko is taking the USS Defiant into a nebula filled system for its first trial run. Sisko notes that there are warp dampeners all over, which makes the ships' warp drive impossible. Shortly after this discovery, the ship unfortunately runs into three Romulan D'deridex-class warbirds and has to take evasive maneuvers, since she cannot escape at warp. Sisko and his crew are soon captured and are placed at a Romulan starbase while their ship is impounded. Fortunately, the USS Enterprise-D, commanded by Captain Jean-Luc Picard comes to the rescue, by beaming an away team in and to set the Defiant's crew free. After destroying enough warp dampeners, the Defiant, the Enterprise-D and the task force leave at warp. Sisko records a log stating he had seen a Vulcan ship under attack as he and the Enterprise-D fled the system. Sisko files a complaint with Starfleet Command. He is told that this is not the first case of a Vulcan ship doing strange things like that. Sisko then says that he plans to discover more about it but admits that it probably "won't be to (his) liking."
12 years later, in 2380, shortly after the events of Star Trek Nemesis, Picard, along with the USS Enterprise-E and new personnel head into a final confrontation with T'Uerell. T'Uerell's once pristine Vulcan ship is now overrun with Borg technology. Picard is aided by the help of Admiral Kathryn Janeway and her old starship the USS Voyager. They meet of with T'Uerell and learn her true intentions. She plans to conquer the Alpha Quadrant with the Borg. She believes that everything she has done, including the deaths of many Starfleet personnel have been for the greater good. Picard and Janeway try to convince her otherwise, but she refuses to listen. Janeway leaves the system and tells Picard that "(she) will be back with some friends" and orders Picard to defend Federation colonies from assimilation. Picard succeeds and orders that the ship be taken to Deep Space 9.
T'Uerell and the Borg cubes make their way to Bajor and the Deep Space 9 space station. Picard and his task force help to defend the Klingon and Romulan forces, showing how far things have gone in the past 200 years. With the loyalty Picard has garnered, the Romulan and Klingon starships place themselves under his flag. The forces engage T'Uerell and her Borg allies and they are defeated. With that, T'Uerell escapes with the Enterprise-E in hot pursuit.
Launched into space from the mind of creator Gene Roddenberry in the 1960s, the U.S.S Enterprise NCC-1701 was the very first Star Trek spacecraft to reach warp speed on television screens around the world. The time-travelling, ultra-fast and near-invisible "Constitution-class" starship was the most advanced spacecraft at the time of its launch in 2245.
The EditForm in the preceding example creates an EditContext based on the assigned Starship instance (Model="@starship") and handles a valid form. The next example (FormExample3 component) demonstrates how to assign an EditContext to a form and validate when the form is submitted.
In the Server project, add a controller to process starship validation requests and return failed validation messages. Update the namespaces in the last using statement for the Shared project and the namespace for the controller class. In addition to data annotations validation (client-side and server-side), the controller validates that a value is provided for the ship's description (Description) if the user selects the Defense ship classification (Classification).
